Imps v Hereford F.A Cup replay postponed… again!

Lincoln City’s F.A. Cup replay with Hereford United has been postponed for the second time.

After a pitch inspection, a Football League official ruled that an area in front of the GoCar stand is still unfit to play on. This is the fourth consecutive occasion when the Imps were due to play that has fallen victim to the weather.

The match was initially due to be played on 7th December, however the weather forced the game to be moved. Now, the game has been rescheduled for a week on Tuesday, December 21st.

The last time the Imps were able to fulfil a fixture was in the original tie with Hereford at Edgar Street at the end of November.

The Met Office today announced that temperatures are expected to drop to as low as minus four within the next week, with further snow expected to follow.

The ground staff at Sincil Bank will have a huge task on their hands, to try and get the pitch ready for next week’s rescheduled match with Hereford.
