Panto Stars Return to Lincoln for Christmas Lights Switch-On

The ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ stars, who won the hearts of theatre goers, are coming back to Lincoln in time for the Christmas lights switch–on.

Christmas Lights Switch-On 2017

Following the success of last year’s 10th Anniversary pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, at the Lincoln Drill Hall, the Jamie Marcus Production (JMP) team is set to return to the heart of Lincoln with a magical retelling of ‘Peter Pan’.

Characters from the upcoming pantomime are set to make appearances at the annual Christmas lights switch on event, which will be hosted at the St Marks Shopping Centre, on Lincoln High Street and the Waterside Shopping Centre on November 23rd.

The cast attending the event will consist of Jamie Campbell as “everyone’s favourite dame”, Adam Fox as the comical character ‘Smee’ and Stephen John Davis as the infamous ‘Captain Hook’.

Jamie Marcus, actor and Managing Director of JMP, stated that the event is to be a success and “the audience are in for a surprise”. A surprise which has not yet been clarified.

Santa amongst special guests to visit Lincoln last year

Talking about his previous success with Jack and the Beanstalk, Marcus says: “93% of tickets were sold last year. We are on course to beat that record”.

He added: “This year’s ticket sales are flying, excuse the pun”.

If those attending the Christmas lights switch-on want the pleasure of meeting the theatre stars, Marcus has revealed the location of two of the actors.

“Captain Hooke will be down at St Marks and Peter Pan at City Square.”

The switch-on of the lights at the St Marks Shopping Centre will take place at 6:30pm. X Factor star and West End performer, Amelia Lily, will be amongst the special visitors to have the honour of turning the Christmas lights on.

The Waterside Shopping Centre will be the final destination for fans to meet the panto stars and get autographs once the lights have been switched on inside the centre at 7:45pm.
