Freezing Weather Hits The County

The cold weather has hit the county this week, with some areas plummeting to -6°c, roads have become icy and people begin to panic about whether it is safe for them to travel.

Throughout the winter Lincolnshire County Council gritters are on hand, travelling nearly 200 miles each time they go out, ensuring they have gritted all of the county’s A and B roads.

Not every road can be reached and can still be slippy for cars and pedestrians.

Although the gritters have been out keep checking council’s Twitter for advice on how to deal with the cold weather and any information regarding road closures.
