Lincoln City on the brink of historic promotion

Lincoln City will earn promotion to League One if they beat Cheltenham Town at Sincil Bank on Saturday.

The club would enter the third tier of English football for the first time this century, having last achieved the feat in 1998.

The Imps have enjoyed a fantastic campaign, sitting at the top of League Two for much of the season.  With five games still to play, Danny Cowley’s men also look set to clinch the league title in the coming weeks.

A sold-out crowd will watch them attempt to achieve promotion tomorrow against 13th placed Cheltenham.. Our reporters went into Lincoln City centre to hear the views of local fans on the likely promotion.
