A Lincolnshire pub is promising Ibiza-style events and après Ski nights – albeit without the skiing – after it reopened for the first time in two years.

Mulberry’s Bar, in Swan Street, Spalding, has been brought back to life by Manzur Hasan, a businessman and independent councillor in the town.

He said: “My heart is always in the town and I’m always thinking about what I can do next to make it better. That is why I decided to take Mulberry’s on. I hope people will support it.”

Fellow councillor, James Le Sage, who is involved with the project, said: “A football licence will be coming soon, and we hope to find a DJ for the summer months, to provide live music for our customers.

“Themed nights are also in the pipeline, such as Ibiza nights and Après Ski.”

He added that the bar, which officially reopened in December, will be family friendly
