Asbestos causes delays for railway footbridge

Network%20Rail%20logoThe demolition of  the former ‘SleepShop’ and ‘Superdrug’ building is now progressing after an asbestos scare.

This to make way for the High street footbridge that is being constructed.

The work is being carried out by Network Rail in conjunction with the City and County Council.

The footbridge is due to be finished next May, 8 weeks later than the original date.
