Spalding United Women will play in their first ever Lincolnshire County FA Women’s Cup final against Lincoln United on Friday, 1 May, 2026.

Spalding have hit the ground running in their inaugral season as a team, playing out an enthralling 4-4 draw in their semi-final tie against Grimsby Town. The Tulips then went on to secure a dramatic 5-4 win on penalties.

Constance Onyinha and Tara Parker were stand-outs in Spalding’s display, with Onyinha scoring twice and Parker winning the Player of the Match award.

Leigh Porter, Spalding United CEO, said: ”It has been a fantastic first season for the Women’s team and we could not be prouder of them flying high in the league and reaching a County Cup Final.”

Earlier this season, the Tulips managed to reach the third qualifying round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, just missing out on qualificaiton for the first round proper.

Impressively, Spalding have only lost one game in their first campaign as a team, a run that includes a 3-1 win against Lincoln United’s development team.

The Whites’ first team go into the match as heavy favourites having won the competition for the last three years. They brushed aside Gainsborough Trinity CFC Women with a 3-0 win in their semi-final tie.

The final will be taking place at Boston United’s Jakemans Community Stadium, kicking off at 7:45pm.
