Wilder Fight Night Lincoln is back after the hugely popular and successful Round One in February last year and is now being hosted at the Engine Shed on February 22nd.

After the success of last year with around 400 tickets sold at the Drill hall in Lincoln, the event is now moving to the engine shed to allow for a larger audience and contribute to the ultimate goal of raising money for charity and putting on a memorable experience for both fighters and students.

Inez Spence, City manager for Wilder Fight Night Lincoln said: “The main goal for the event is to raise money for the Oddballs foundation and to give the fighters an experience of a lifetime.”

Wilder Fight Night runs across 18 different cities in the UK all varying in the number of events each year and was one of Europe’s biggest student fundraisers with around £320,000 being raised last year.

This year there are 16 fights with three women’s fights and 13 men’s fights, with two student presenters to provide more entertainment on top of the fights. The fighters have been given two months of free professional training with one of the coaches even having fought Tyson Fury.

The experience of the first event last year has allowed changes to be made with a bigger team and more social media marketing, allowing for this event to be bigger than last years and more entertaining.

At the moment the event is only run once per year but there is hope for it to expand and potentially become multiple events per year with the success of this years fight night and popularity of it among students.
