Holocaust Memorial Day Trust mark the remembrance on 27th January, as it marks marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp.
In Lincoln, St John the Baptist Church was selected by the trust to light 1 of 70 candles that will be lit across the country at 4.30 this afternoon.
Rev. Stephen Hoy said: “We are delighted to be selected as the only venue in Lincolnshire to host an event of this kind.”
