Lincolnshire PCC outlines plans to tackle fly-tipping

It's high on his list of priorities

Fly-tipping was high on the agenda before Marc Jones was re-elected as Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

It’s described on the government’s website as ‘illegal dumping of liquid or solid waste on land or in water.’

Marc Jones has made it clear to LSJ News that this is an issue he is keen on tackling.

North Kesteven District Council provided some photos of instances of fly-tipping, but wouldn’t say where the hot spots are, as it often encourages people to add to the rubbish.

So what did Marc Jones say about the issue and how he’s going to address it? We asked him some questions about his plan.

Can you outline what fly-tipping is and why is it such a big issue?

What are you already doing to tackle fly-tipping?

What’s your plan going forward?

Should there be harsher penalties for fly-tippers?
