A Lincolnshire brewery are offering drinkers a complete biscuit beer experience. Bateman’s will be using ingredients such as barley, malt, cane sugar and oats to create seasonal beers.

They’re part of a new range of beverages to celebrate the company’s 140th anniversary. They combine favourite flavours of the biscuit tin with traditional brewing recipes.

The five beers, which range from 3.6 to 4.1 ABV, are Springtime Oatmeal, Summer Barley (digestive), Autumn Bourbon, Winter Chocolate (chocolate digestive) – and Christmas Fruit.

Steve Renshaw, Secretary of Lincoln CAMRA (Lincoln’s Campaign for Real Ale branch); “They are looking for something to inspire drinkers and those interested in different flavour beers. I’ve tried one of them, the chocolate biscuit beer. It wasn’t something I would drink a lot of, but it was an interesting flavour.”

There are also several new craft beers including the Bohemian Brews range in Mocha, Mocha Amaretto, Orange Barley and Hazelnut Brownie.
