Lincoln residents who own a car, and park outside their homes for free could soon be charged up to £52 for a permit.

Residents who currently park on their streets for free could soon be charged for parking permits, as the City of Lincoln Council looks to add 23 streets to their current permit plan.

The consultation will take place on November 30th at City Hall where councillors will discuss the permit expansion to parts of Sincil bank and sections of Church Lane. If plans go ahead letters will be sent to over 1,300 homes.

The existing permit zones raised over £130,000 in 2014/15, and the expansion would be expected to raise £22,000 more.
