Lincoln Castle Academy ,a school in Lincoln’s uphill area on Riseholme Road, has announced approval for construction plans to rebuild the teaching block and sports facilities as of February 2026 . The aim for this reconstruction is to provide a “modern, high-quality educational environment for current and future students.” Improvements to the sports facilities will also occur with a new sports hall and games area being a part of the plans.
The School has also assured that the work will be completed through a “phased construction plan,” in order to reduce any disruptions to teaching and will remain fully open during the work with temporary classrooms being paced on the current sports field.

The Lincoln school was identified in the Department of Education’s school rebuilding program with the current condition of some of the buildings described as “poor,” as per Dobson Grey LTD, a property consultancy company, via the BBC’s Local Democracy Reporting Service. It is reported that Lincoln Castle Academy prioritised to receive the funding for this new project.
The school belongs to the Delta Academies trust ,as of December 2023, who have also committed further funding to the project to equip the new school block with “cutting-edge resources and high-quality learning environments.” A statement from academy said that they are: “deeply moved by the overwhelming support from families, neighbours and the wider local community.” The work is scheduled to commence in the summer of this year although there is currently no word of an expected completion date.
