Taxi drivers rage over BTEC proposals

Taxi drivers in Lincoln are angry over new proposals by the City of Lincoln Council forcing taxi drivers to sit exams in order to continue driving.

The tests will cost £240, and last up to one week, meaning taxi drivers may also have to take a week off in order to complete the course.

Modules on the course include health and safety, and customer service, despite many drivers working in the profession for decades.
