The UK Independence Party have announced Victoria Ayling as their Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) candidate for the upcoming elections.

She told LSJ News what changes she wants to bring: “More visible policing out there, even seeing a police car driving past, makes people feel more secure, and that’s something we should be looking at.”

The roles of the PCC include securing an efficient and effective police for their area as well as setting objectives and budgets.

Alan Hardwick, the current PCC for Lincolnshire, was elected when the role was originally created in 2012.

The elections for the next PCC will be held on Thursday the 5th of May 2016.
