The Double Tree by Hilton hotel on the banks of the Brayford Quay is set to increase its guest capacity, if the submission of its planning proposal is accepted.

The proposal entails demolishing the old NHS Healthcare Centre on Newland, situated behind the current hotel site, with planning for 39 new rooms.

While 9 rooms will be unusable during the construction, 48 will be created in total, bringing the final number of available rooms to 154.
