A massive countryside festival run by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society marked its 10th anniversary with its biggest ever event on Sunday.
The annual extravaganza – called Countryside Lincs – aims to connect local people with the world of farming and rural life through activities such as dog displays, bird shows, cooking demonstrations, show jumping, BMX bike exhibitions and children’s entertainment.
Suzy Stone, the educational lead for the society, said: “This is a really great milestone. It started out with just possibly a thousand [visitors] and we’ve grown substantially year on year.”

Around 8,000 guests attended this year’s event – at Lincolnshire Showground – with 130 exhibitors to explore and discover.
From wood carving, flower arranging and axe throwing the day was filled with a variety of activities and performances, with the equestrian ring and dog shows taking centre stage of the event.
Various organisations like Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust were in attendance to share information about projects they have been working on.

Suzy said: “It is a great family fun event, there is something for everyone to do and experience. Our main ethos is teaching young people and the community all about developing their learning through food, farming and the countryside.”
She added that the event will return again in April 2027.
