A senior City of Lincoln councillor has voiced concern over the shortage of community facilities in certain areas of the city.
Rebecca Longbottom, who has represented the Castle ward for seven years, said: “Certain areas are lacking places where people are able to meet and build communities.”
Improving amenities across the Ermine estate – which sits within her ward – was a key priority, the Labour member added. Improved playgrounds, more communal green spaces and other hubs would all enhance the area, she believes.
She made the call while reflecting on her near-decade as a councillor. “Representing the people in Castle ward is the thing I am proudest of,” she said.
