Construction begins on the Tritton Road tank memorial

Work has begun on a memorial to commemorate Lincoln’s engineering history.

A scale model of the first tank, that was first used in World War I will be constructed on the Tritton Road roundabout.

The first tank of the war was constructed by William Foster and Co. in Lincoln and was used on the front line from September 1916.

The completed memorial is expected to be unveiled on the 10th of May this year.
