The University of Lincoln Students’ Union have released a statement after bottles were thrown at Irish twins, Jedward, when they performed at a student night in Lincoln.

Several students were removed from the Engine Shed on the University of Lincoln’s Brayford Campus on Wednesday 11 October.

The twins received mixed review from students at the Quack night, with some enjoying the event, whilst other took to social media to air their views.

In the official statement on the SU’s  website and social media they apologise for the behaviour of the students who threw the bottles.

Many students at the university night really enjoyed seeing the duo, but others seemed to find amusement in the incident and the form X Factor double act.

The SU have declined to comment whether or not those in question will be banned from future Quack events.

It is not the first time that the SU have had to release a statement regarding this type of behaviour at events. In March 2017, Kerry Katona and Natasha Hamilton also had VK bottles thrown at them during their performance.
