Lincoln United continued their table topping form as they beat Kimberley Miners Welfare 5-1 at The Sun Hat Villas and Resorts Stadium.

The Whites struck early as Top Hipwell opened his account for the club with a stunner on 21 minutes. A special moment for the young full back.

Assistant manager Paul grimes said: “When you’re at the top of the table you’re there to be shot at and teams raise their games, that’s up to us to combat.” A message which clearly got through as four goals in 20 minutes from Burdett, Moore, Dye and Drummond swiftly took the game away from Kimberley, making it 5-0.

The visitors grabbed a late consolation to deny United a clean sheet, but it was The Whites who continued their title charge in the Premier Division North.
