The new bar and restaurant “Home” is opening it’s doors tonight, Tuesday 8th November, for the very first time but the three storey venue could put other businesses out of work.
With limited business in the small city, the opening of a new bar and restaurant could put strain on other companies.
Jamie Duncan, the assistant manager of Varsity, a bar in the centre of town says it “all depends how they go with their prices and how they do offers”, as to whether Varsity’s custom will be affected. At varsity, they have put deals and offers in place to keep customers.
However, the new club will provide over a hundred new jobs for locals and students.
