Amy Anders, 35, is originally from the South Coast but moved to Lincoln for university. She has remained here ever since and is now a manager at The William Foster pub in Guildhall Street in the city centre.

The mother-of-two spoke to LSJ News as part of our ongoing My Lovely Lincoln series.

Q: What’s your favourite thing about living in Lincoln and what’s your favourite place to go on a weekend?

A: I love that it’s a quiet city but everyone here is so friendly which is much different from being down south. On a weekend, I love to go to the pub for a drink. What pub? Usually this one to be fair.

Q: Describe your perfect weekend here?

A: Definitely a bottomless brunch that goes on into the day. There’s loads of places that do really good ones [such as at The Botanist or Craft Lincoln] and that’s a great weekend.

Q: If you could change one thing about Lincoln, what would it be?

A: More family things. There’s a lot of stuff on the outskirts of the city or outside in the county but if you don’t drive it’s a massive pain to get to them.
