Kate Trollone, 46, is the founder of Lincoln’s Pink Ladies Running Club, a female focused group set up in 2010.

Q: What’s your favourite thing about living in Lincoln?
I love the fact it has a small city feel yet there’s quite a few facilities. It’s small enough to be able to know lots of people and the feel of the city is so friendly. There are also great train links to London.

What’s your favourite place to go in Lincoln? And why?
I love the Bailgate area. To be able to run through the castle grounds is amazing. The vibe of that whole area makes it feel like a holiday destination. There are also so many great places to eat in Lincoln, I love trying new restaurants and food spots, and new ones are always opening up.

What would be your perfect weekend in Lincoln?
I’d begin the weekend by volunteering or running at Yarborough Leisure Centre parkrun followed by breakfast at Stokes cafe. An afternoon spent in the Everyman cinema, and then cocktails at the White Hart in the evening. Sunday morning means a long run around the city taking in the Brayford.

If you could change one thing about Lincoln, what would it be?
More buses to the nearby villages! I have always wanted to explore the area more but struggle due to the limited and unreliable bus routes.
