Imps at 140-years-old: Lincoln City prepare for major milestone with cut-price tickets

The club and their supporters have good reasons to be cheerful going into the final part of this season and into next season as well.

Lincoln City vs Shrewsbury Town Half-time

From August onwards 140 Lincoln City FC supporters will be going to the LNER Stadium to watch games for just under £6.09 per match.

Celebrating the 140th anniversary of the club later this year, it was announced that there would be 140 Rilmac memberships available, costing only £140 for the 2024/25 season.

It is the lowest price for a season ticket membership that the club have given supporters since the Imps returned to the EFL in 2017.

Within five days of the announcement, the memberships had all been sold.

Club director Rob Bradley said: “It’s a celebration thing, but it’s also recognising these are difficult times for some people.”

Rob also gave details on the new Fans’ (Golden) Share that has been agreed by the Imps. This gives fans the ability to veto certain club heritage matters if they ever were put forward by the club. For example, the club colours, badge or name.

On the pitch the team are on a terrific run of form.

The final league positions of Lincoln City in the last three seasons are shown here. But where will they finish this season?

Rob has not given up hope on reaching the play-offs. He said: “Dare to dream. Why not? Imagine the last game against Portsmouth. Imagine if we win and we are in the play offs. These are the things you dream about as a fan.”
