The lives of girls and young women are to be improved through the aim of a new £50,000 community fund.

Lincolnshire Community Foundation’s ‘Tampon Tax Community Fund‘ aims to help projects that aid the lives of disadvantaged women and girls and has £50,000 to give away – but groups need to be quick to apply for the money.

Joint CEO, Sue Fortune said: “We decided to deliver this programme because supporting vulnerable women aligns with our aims of providing positive outcome for people living in Lincolnshire.”

“We are a small team but deliver a lot of bang for our buck, being large in reach and a lot in network.”

The foundation which aims to provide positive outcomes to communities through the help of social investments has undertaken the fund which aims to support marginalised women to overcome barriers that prevent them from fulfilling their potential.

There is no limit to the number of applications that the foundation will accept, however the maximum a group can apply for is £10,000.

The purpose of the fund is to allocate funds generated by the ‘Tampon Tax Community Fund‘ from the 5% VAT on sanitary products to projects that improve lives of disadvantaged women and girls.

An all-women panel of community activist will meet on December 11 to discuss and recommend where the grants are disrupted.

The deadline to apply for the fund is November 1. All criteria for the fund is available on the website where you can also apply at: https://lincolnshirecf.co.uk/grants/tampon-tax-community-fund/  .
