Lincoln’s Christmas lights were switched on on Friday, November 22.

The event, at the St Marks shopping centre and in the High Street,  was hosted by John Marshall from Lincs FM, and the lights were turned on by the Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Sue Burke.

She was joined on stage by Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood, who is starring in the New Theatre Royal’s panto Robin Hood.

People wanting to experience  more festive events in Lincoln can look forward to a Reindeer parade at St Marks on Thursday November 28 and the Christmas Market, which starts on Thursday December 5.
