Fourteen venues across Lincoln currently have a one star hygiene rating, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website.

Venues serving food and drink are regularly inspected by FSA officers sent by their district council.

They have to meet certain requirements in order to achieve a pass and a certain rating.

Inspectors complete random spot checks on businesses to check everything is up to scratch in terms of paperwork, health and safety, cleanliness and tidiness and all round hygiene.

The low-ranking venues include bar/restaurant City Vaults, the High Street’s Proper Pasty shop, and ‘Lincoln Best Kebab’.

These ratings were correct at the time of this being published and you can find all fourteen venues by clicking here.
