539168_532938600089691_646862544_nThe University of Lincoln Gaming Society held there LGS’ 24-Hour Extravaganza last week to raise money for Special Effect.

Whilst Gaming non stop for 24-Hours and completing a range of challenges the dedicated group of gamers managed to raise £850 of their £1000 target on their Just Giving page.  However the cash donations are still being counted and the full amount raised is yet to be announced because donations are still coming in.

Reece Dos-Santos is our gaming correspondent and attended the entire event.

Special Effect work with people with disabilities using special technology to make custom gaming set-ups to meet individual needs. This allows them to play computer games which would be impossible with out Special Effect.

This is important as it enables people to get involved with gaming where as before many may have felt excluded when their friends were gaming.
