Police in Lincoln have issued a warning for those who will be out on Halloween to keep jokes lawful and safe.

The warning was due to reports of egg-throwing outside the Premier Shop on West Parade between 7 and 8pm on October 12.

A second incident was reported after a black Audi A6 was hit by eggs near the Grandstand on Carholme Road, resulting in some paint damage.

Officers are urging anyone who has any information on either of these events to come forward.

Police are not linking these incidents to Halloween directly, although with the holiday approaching, they are warning people to be safe and oblige by the law.
