Greyhound racing is a very popular sport but what happens to the dogs when they get too old to race?

The Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust have re-homed over 1,000 greyhounds since it started up 6 years ago, and their aim is to look after the dogs until they find someone to give them a loving home.

Due to greyhounds not being able to race past a certain age a lot are left neglected. The trust insures that the dogs get the care they need after their racing career is over, free of charge. Donations are given by greyhound racers and also by members of the public who want to take away a new pet.
