Over one hundred and fifty thousand GP appointments were missed by patients in Lincolnshire in 2016.
Figures released by Lincolnshire West CCG show that the appointments missed were the equivalent of 1 GP wasting around 3 years waiting for patients who never turn up.
People are being urged to take responsibility for the NHS and to cancel appointments when they can’t make it so others can use it.
A GP from Lincoln believes that these findings should not be published as it causes more people to miss their appointments.
