Tomorrow night the people of Lincolnshire will be joining the Bishop of Lincoln in the YMCA’S annual sleep – easy fund raiser. The participants of this event will each pay £10 and sleep outside the cathedral throughout the night to raise money for four of Lincoln’s main homeless organisations. The organisations the money is going to are Community Larder, St Marys Church, New – Life Church and Lincolshire’s YMCA.

You can sign up for this event either on your own or as a team. You can register for the event online by going to www.sleepeasy.org.uk. Stokes Coffee will be providing hot drinks throughout the night and well earned bacon sandwiches will be given out the following morning.

The top fundraiser so far has managed to raise £2,110.50.

Last winter, more then 800 people slept rough to bring awareness to the homeless.

The aim of this event is to simply challenge yourself sleeping rough for a night whilst raising money to help change the lives of young vulernable people.
