The Human League, one of the iconic bands of the eighties, is set to be performing at the Engine Shed in December.
The band is bringing out a new single and album called “Credo”, which is their landmark 10th album.
As part of the promotion for the new album, which is their first studio album since 2001, they are heading off on a 15 date headline tour. The tour starts in late November with the band performing in Lincoln on December 17th.
The band shot to fame with their song “Don’t you want me” which shot to the top of the charts in 1981. The Sheffield based group originally had a very different line up, but the most successful members have been Phil Oakey, with singers Susan Sulley and Joanne Catherall.
In preparation for their upcoming tour City Vibe’s Charlotte Reid spoke to Susan Sulley, one of the singers from the synth band, about their history and her reluctance to be famous.
