A Moroccan Market has arrived in Lincoln to spread some of its vibrant culture.
The market will let locals experience the sights, sounds and smells of North Africa, as it will be crammed with 40 different traditional Barber tents to explore.
Traders offer a variety of artisian products from ceramics and pottery to handmade carpets and leather goods. Plus there’s food sample tasting whilst being entertained by the Moroccan Gnawa Band.
The event has been supported by Lincoln Big events and promotions manager Michel Armstrong.
LSJ News spoke to the Mayor of Lincoln who is opening the event who said,
“It’s an honour to be chosen. It will bring people into the city and it will bring people to look at different cultures.”
LSJ news reporter Rachel Harris also spoke to a market stall merchant who told us about his Moroccan goods.
The market is set to hit 15 different locations across the North, South and Midlands in the Uk from September to November.
It started it’s journey in Manchesters Smithfield Wholesale Market on the 1st September and has already visited Nottingham and Sheffield before arriving here in Lincoln.
The next stop will be Matlock on the 21st October before moving onto Leicester and various other locations before finishing in Leeds on the 23rd November.
