Bikes auctioned by police!!

Lincoln Police have been urging cyclists to help them prevent the theft of bikes. The police say that they have had to auction off recovered bikes as 50% of owners cannot identify their own bikes. They are asking that people note down the serial or frame numbers of their bikes.

A lot of the bikes that are recovered by the police are worth £400-£500. Rebbeca Stanworth spoke to Roger Hobby the chairman of the velo cycling club about the prevention of theft of bikes.
