Connexions, the service that offers advice and careers support to people in Lincolnshire is closing.
The news means that as of next year young people in the county will have to look elsewhere for careers advice.
The closure comes as part of extensive government cuts, which will see over 800 jobs axed within the county council, and many more placed under threat.Children’s services are bearing the brunt of the cuts, with projects such as the Youth Offenders Service also facing severe cuts and closures.
The county council has tonight confirmed the closure of the service, but has so far been unavailable for comment.
