Hear Danny Cowley and Tom Pett’s thoughts following Lincoln City’s 1-1 draw with Macclesfield Town on Saturday afternoon.

Scott Wilson gave the visitors the lead in the 28th minute before Neal Eardley’s free-kick ten minutes later levelled the game for Lincoln.

Macclesfield slipped to bottom place whilst The Imps lead at the top of Sky Bet League Two is eight points over MK Dons who Lincoln travel to next Saturday.

After the game Imps boss, Danny Cowley, said: “I thought we responded well to going behind, but our performance in the second half was very laclustre and lethargic.”

Central midfielder, Tom Pett, said: “Today’s game shows how there is very little difference between first and twenty-fourth in this league.”

Looking towards next week’s top of the table clash with MK Dons, Cowley said: “They (MK Dons) are a fantastic team, you’ve only got to look at their players to know that, so it will be a really tough game.”
