Every day we meet new and old faces, but what is life like for those who are unable to recognise them?
It’s a condition known as prosopagnosia or face blindness, and around 1.5 million people in the UK are born with the face processing disorder. People can either develop face blindness, or acquire it after suffering from a brain injury.
With people with prosopagnosia struggling to identify the faces of friends and family members, what cues do they use to help?
