‘Impvasion’ on Merseyside as 5,000 seats are allocated

‘Impvasion’ on Merseyside as 5,000 seats are allocated

Lincoln City are set to face Everton in the 3rd round of the FA Cup on the 5th January and with over 5,000 seats allocated to the visitors at Goodison Park, it’s set to be another special day for an ‘Impvasion’.

It will be the first time the two sides have met domestically in just over 25 years and for the Cowley Brothers, it’s another chance to claim a Premier League scalp in the ‘spirit of the cup’.

Turf Moor was where Lincoln City clinched their last famous FA Cup win and in doing so, became the first non-league team in 103 years to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

A similar feat at the turn of the year, would spread cup fever once more throughout the streets of Lincoln after success in the final of the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley last season.

Everton currently boast Five FA Cup Wins and with Marco Silva assembling a five-star studded outfit over the Summer Transfer Window upon his arrival, the tie is set to be a difficult test for the Cowley Brothers.

In their favour however, will be the fact that Everton have lost their last two FA Cup Third Round affairs 2-1. The first one being against Leicester City in 2017 and the other in a Merseyside derby against Liverpool, at the start of the calendar year.

The 2016/17 success story very much paved the way for the development of the £1.3 million training ground and another fixture against Premier League opposition, awaits for the Imps at the start of 2019.

Richarlison, Jordan Pickford and Gylfi Sigurdsson are just a few of the names that will be on display, for the travelling Lincoln City supporters.

Season Ticket Holders will be able to purchase the tickets from 7pm December 14th and the tickets will go on General Sale the following Friday, at the same time.

Tickets are priced for at £15 for adults, £10 for Under 25s and £5 for Under 18s.

For any ticket enquiries on the away fixture, contact tickets@lincolncityfc.co.uk
