Lincoln’s Agatha’s boutique strikes a pose in Vogue.

April’s edition of Vogue UK has set hearts in Lincoln racing as Agatha’s has been named among the best boutiques in the country. The list has some of the top names in the country and quiet an honour for this Lincoln’s independent store situated on High Street.

The store that was started 18years ago is one of the largest independent boutique retailers in Lincolnshire. Agatha’s, stock exclusive brands and exquisite pieces from premium brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Emporio Armani and Ugg. There recently refurbished shop is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the city.

They say “Our continued success is based upon one hundred percent customer service, presenting an individual and unique shopping experience. In addition to this, Agatha offers an out of hour’s personal shopper service, a professional in-house seamstress to obtain those little alterations for the perfect fit and to complete the look, a gift wrapping service is available on request.”

When I was there, I experienced this personal shopping service and found it interesting to have someone look after me in this way. It’s reminison of the film Pretty Woman, just without the pizza. I was helped by Hannah.

“The thing about Agatha’s is we make time for each individual” says sales assistant Hannah. “We will give them a personal unique service because we don’t want you to just pick something from the rail, buy it. We can give you different options on how to style it and things so we’re just adding to the experience. I think that’s what Agatha’s does best.”

To the side a photo of me trying on Viviane Westwood dress and lady Dragon shoes.

LSJ News reporter Pru Stubbs has been visiting the boutique.
