Jazz Appreciation Month, otherwise known as ‘JAM’ was introduced in order to get people of all ages to participate in the genre.

It’s a celebration of the music as a whole and Lincoln will be experiencing something similar, with a variety of swinging music styles as eight days of top quality live jazz in venues across Lincoln and Lincolnshire, will be hosting some of the UK’s top jazz musicians.

We spoke to Matt Rushton co-owner of the Lincoln Jazz Cafe, to find out how it has affected his business, ahead of further awareness in the form of Lincolnshire Jazz Week which starts next Friday.

Situated on Water Lane, The Lincoln Jazz Cafe is an elegant venue with a capacity of approximately 40 people and features an authentic ‘jazz lounge’ atmosphere.

The Lincoln Jazz Cafe will host The Last Night of the World event on Thursday 9th May. Tickets are available using this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/last-night-of-the-world-tickets-60097751994?aff=efbneb&fbclid=IwAR2TcxObDAfWAky3YcJTgzSDBzkwAsT10D8xM9PGi78I9nUBWR3OM-f856g
