Chris Sutton has admitted that his Lincoln City side are now in a relegation battle.
The imps lie third from bottom in league two above Darlington and rivals Grimsby Town.
The last time the imps played Crewe was back in 2005 and they ran out 5-1 winners but with Lincoln stuck in a rut Sutton will have to galvanise his squad to preserve Lincoln’s league status.
The Imps haven’t been to Gresty Road for 17 years and are looking kick start the busy Christmas period with a win.
