Lincoln local elections 2018

People across Lincoln will have the chance to choose who will represent them in this years local elections held on Thursday May 3rd.

Around 48 candidates will compete for a spot in 11 different wards around Lincoln. All in all a very dull election this year as Lincoln will stay Labour dominated regardless of the outcome next Thursday.

Below is a list of what each party will be pushing for in Lincoln:

The conservative Party

The conservatives plan to support future housing developments which come with school places. they are also planning to improve Lincoln roads and access to public transport. Final on the agenda is the introduction of one hour free parking in Lincoln.

Green Party

The Greens want to tackle issues in Lincoln regarding economy by supporting local businesses to keep money in the local, Lincoln economy. They will oppose all fracking and support community  energy schemes as standing for issues regarding waste, health, education, pollution and transport.

The Labour Party

Labour is highly invested in inequality and social justice regarding education, income and health. They want Lincoln to grow as a city in a sustainable way with more jobs and better wages while tackling the housing crisis so everyone has access to affordable housing.

Liberal Democrat

The Lib Dems will seek to promote fairness, equality and opportunity across the county.
