LSJ TV: Holdsworth Ready For Imps Challenge

Changes Needed: Holdsworth hopes to transform the mentality at Sincil Bank

New Lincoln City manager, David Holdsworth, has talked for the first time since taking the Imps hotseat.

42 year old Holdsworth outlined his vision for the club in front of a packed press conference at Sincil Bank.

The Imps are struggling to cope with new surroundings in the Blue Square Bet Premier following Steve Tilson’s dismissal earlier this month, and find themselves currently occupying one of the four relegation spots.

But ex-Manfield Town boss, Holdsworth, believes that a change of approach could change the losing mentality at Sincil Bank:

“I’m not saying the methods were wrong with other people, but what I will say is that my methods will be down to determination, organisation, commitment and certainly a little bit of desire”, he said. “We can’t disguise it, we’re in a dog fight, and it’s going to be a huge challenge.”
