Pom Pom the clown has travelled the world but he’s come home to Lincoln. He’s originally from Hungary but travels from country to country, city to city with the Netherlands Circus:

“I lived in the Lincoln area years ago so it is nice to return, it is a lovely town, kind of like my second or third home.”

It’s the first time the Netherlands Circus has come to Lincoln. The troupe are from all over the globe and not just the Netherlands.

And it’s a special time for the clowns, acrobats and jugglers, says Pom Pom, because it marks the end of their world tour for this season:

“Of course I can’t wait so see my family again. Usually they travel with me but not this time unfortunately.”

And so it’s true, the mask of a clown really does hide their tears.

The Netherlands Circus will be in Lincoln until Sunday 20 November.
