A Mini-car showcase was held at the Brayford Waterfront in Lincoln on Sunday, April 15.

BIG (Business Improvement Group) organised the 11th running of the event to bring the community together with the history of one of the most iconic car manufacturers in Britain.

The lines of cars were in position from 10am-4pm, as thousands of locals and tourists attended to see the likes of Mini-Coopers and Mini-Minors.

Lincoln BIG Events & Promotions Manager, Michael Armstrong said:

“The event was a great success. We were delighted to have over 200 Minis showcased in front of a phenomenal atmosphere on the Brayford Waterfront.”

Michael also explained why the Lincoln BIG Mini Day was put in place:

“The number of memories attached to Mini, we thought it would be a good idea to stage an event such as this in Lincoln, which has grown year by year.”

The number of people who attended this year’s event has not yet been confirmed but Michael had thought that approximately “a couple of thousands” visited the Brayford Waterfront on the day to explore the different Mini models.

No date has been confirmed yet but the Mini Day is expected to take place again in Lincoln next year.
