Patients have received advice on where to keep getting healthcare following the news that The Glebe Practice in Skellingthorpe is closing.

Dr Catherine Ash, GP partner at the Glebe Practice, said patient wellbeing is a paramount concern.
Dr Ash said: “I’ve been a GP at the practice for nearly 25 years and patients who know me know how committed I am to ensuring they have access to good quality services.
“Our proposals have always been about ensuring the long-term future of our practice so that we can continue to treat patients from all the villages we serve for generations to come.”
Dr Ash added: “In future, all services will be provided from our main site at Saxilby in our purpose-built building where patients can access a much wider range of healthcare services.”
Skellingthorpe Parish Council has released a statement on its website: “Many people in villages other than Skellingthorpe are visited at home if they are unable to attend the practice, this will continue.
“The practice continues to explore the community car service that is available to Saxilby residents and hope that this may be introduced to cover the Skellingthorpe village as well.
“The practice also covers several care homes and will continue to visit them.”
Patients will also be able to access the Co-op Pharmacy in Skellingthorpe.
The Co-op told Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group that residents of Skellingthorpe can continue to access the pharmacy in the village as normal to collect prescriptions and get advice and treatment for minor health concerns.
The closure of the Glebe Practice is one of many GP closures that have taken place in Lincolnshire.
