Lincoln City face Wolves Under-21s tonight and need a win to keep their Checkatrade Trophy journey alive.

Lincoln City FC are the current champions, defeating Shrewsbury at Wembley last April in a 1-0 victory.

But unless they suffer a defeat, where they would ultimately be out, the holders will have to wait another week before knowing whether they have made it through to the knockout stage of the competition this time round.

This is because the other final group match, between Mansfield and Scunthorpe, will not take place until 13 November. Lincoln currently sit third in their group with only 2 points.

Mansfield Town are already through after winning both group games. Scunthorpe United sit just one point ahead of the Imps and will know that they only need a draw or win in their last game to go through if Lincoln win tonight.
