The RAF Tornado will be taking to the skies of Lincolnshire this afternoon in a farewell flypast.
After 40 years of service, the aircraft is due to be retired at the end of March and has been replaced by a new aircraft called the Lightning.
Starting at their base at RAF Marham in Norfolk this morning, the flyover will take place over the course of three days until February 21.
The aircraft will pass over RAF Waddington, RAF College Cranwell and The Royal Air Force Coningsby at 3pm until 3:30pm today.
It will be a chance for people to say goodbye to the beloved Tornado, nicknamed ‘Tonka’, which has been in service since 1979 before it heads into retirement.
